Yankee magazine, the preeminent periodical on New England travel, food, and home, seems to be having a bit of Spring fever in their March/April 2022 Home & Garden issue. We understand. When it comes to garden tools, Home & Garden Editor Annie Graves only needed to travel a few miles down Route 101 in New Hampshire, to the Peterboro Basket Factory, to find a myriad of baskets to help Yankee’s readership with their “backyard Edens.”
As noted in the article, “There’s hardly a basket style imaginable that hasn’t been woven at the oldest continuous manufacturer in the country.” As a sampling, photographs show the New England Half Bushel Basket, the Peterboro Gardening Caddy, the Peterboro Multi-task Tote, and the Peterboro Tomato Basket.
On the opening page of the “digging it” article, the fabulous functional Peterboro Gardening Caddy is prominently shown hard at work. The gifts for the garden in Yankee’s “diggin it” article truly do “lend their own beauty to the landscape.” The Peterboro Basket Company is proud to be part of the picture.
