Peterboro Deluxe Twin-Split Picnic and Storage Basket

The Peterboro Twin Split Lid Picnic and Storage Basket was extremely popular when first introduced years ago and it continues to be a best seller for a number of reasons. It is a great size for an intimate picnic for two and big enough for a family of four. The lid opens on both sides with the center fixed. The basket has two swing handles for ease of toting. This basket was mentioned in the July 2010 issue of Martha Stewart Living.

  • Picnicking
  • Carrying items when traveling by car
  • Storing favorite books, crafts, or toys

Personalize this basket with a laser engraved, solid cherry wood oval shaped plaque, attached securely to the center of the fixed part of the lid of the basket. There are two size options: The large size is 6" L x 1" at the widest point. The small size is 3 ¼" L x 1" at the widest point.

This basket is available in Honey, Cherry, and Driftwood Gray finishes, as well as in Natural White Ash.  It comes with the Peterboro Basket brass medallion and limited lifetime warranty.  The basket measures approx.: 18"L x 12"W x 9"H.

Peterboro Basket Company is the only manufacturer of this “one-of-a-kind” basket design. The basket is handcrafted in the USA from hardwood Appalachian Ash and 100% American-made materials. All of the hardware has been brass coated to help prevent rusting.

    Bad color

When I ordered the natural color I thought it was going to be stained in the natural color. Maybe a clear stain. This is totally naked wood. I would never have paid that much for a naked basket but it costs too much to return so I guess I'm keeping it.

    I Really Like It!

The basket is so beautiful, and I'm really happy to have gotten it in ash. It's still pretty cold and snowy here, so I'll have to wait until Spring to get a real feel for it, but it looks big enough to carry all my picnic essentials! One thing I would suggest, though, is having pictures of the basket in all available colors. That would be really helpful for future purchases. Thanks!

Top quality baskets but watch out...

These baskets are well made and beautiful. I am very happy with the quality and finish colors. The only problem is now I want more! A girl can never have too many baskets!

What a beautiful basket! Ordered the split basket with honey finish and a custom engraving, and I can already tell it will be a family treasure for years to come. It is surprisingly light, but seems very sturdy. I can tell that care was taken to make sure it was constructed well (all of the brass rivets are even, the wood looks to be high quality, etc.). Took with us on our first family picnic, and my wife and I loved it. Plenty of room in the basket for a bottle of wine (or two), food, plates, silverware, and glasses. Highly recommended!
