There are a few antique baskets in the PBC outlet that are not for sale. One of the favorites is a countertop basket with two swing handles and a woven lid.
In 1920, the year the basket was made, a new factory was built on Grove Street in Peterborough, NH. In celebration of the 100th anniversary of the current Peterboro Basket factory, comes the release of the Peterboro 1920 Reproduction Basket. This will make a great sewing, or lunch basket.
Styled after the antique basket, this new countertop basket has the extra benefits of the petite weave hardwood framed woven lid, the Peterboro Basket brass medallion, and brass coated hardware to prevent rusting. Plus, being newly made, this basket is sure to last for another 100 years.
Use this basket for storage anywhere in the house, but keep it safe. We’ve found it to be particularly popular over the years. Better yet, choose the option to personalize this basket. Your personalization will be laser engraved on a solid cherry wood oval shaped plaque and securely attached to the center of the lid. There are two size options: The petite size is 1¾" L x ¾"H at the widest point. The small size is 3¼" L x 1"H at the widest point.
This basket is available Honey, Cherry, and Driftwood Gray finishes, as well as in Natural White Ash. It comes with the Peterboro Basket brass medallion and limited lifetime warranty. The basket measures approx.: 10"W x 7D x 6"H.
Peterboro Basket Company is the only manufacturer of this “one-of-a-kind” basket design. The basket is handcrafted in the USA from hardwood Appalachian Ash and 100% American-made materials. All of the hardware has been brass coated to help prevent rusting.
