10/31/2008 Peterboro Single Pie Basket
I just received the basket today. I had seen it on the home page and wrote to ask about it. I got a notice the other day that it was available and quickly ordered it. I could not believe how fast I received it. It was worth waiting for - well made and is going to be very useful to me. Everything I have gotten from Peterboro has been beautiful and well made. Keep up the good work. It was well worth waiting for.

I got this basket to use on my kitchen counter to help tidy up the clutter of often used items with some flair. I like the flat top as I can also place something on top of the basket as needed. I have a small kitchen & this will be a very useful basket for me.

This turned out to be my favorite basket from all the baskets I received in my order today. It fits perfect on my shelf and I plan to use it for storage. It looks so much better than the picture - I was afraid the basket would look too boring with large woven sides, but to the contrary it's quite a delight. Love this!

My Aunt Lois who's 88 has had one for at least 30 years. Seems like my whole (not hardly) life. She had a hard year last year and said she wasn't going to make pies for the holidays, and gave her 3 pie basket to a dear friend. Broke my heart. Several weeks ago we talked about making pies together this year. We stoped at a cooking store to look for a pie carrier. No luck. You can imagion my suprize when I 'googled' " pie carrier basket," and went directly to this basket. It's the one she's used all those years. She thought it was expenseve. Guess it was cheaper 30 years ago. I was thrilled to have Aunt Lois's basket and delighted to only pay $45 to do so. I have high hopes for my 3 pie basket.

This basket is adorable. I got it to hold my keys and some pens, and it's just perfect for that. Do get the plastic protector, however. I didn't at first, but the bottom of the basket has gaps due to the basket's shape. Now that I have the protector, the basket itself won't get damaged, either.

I make all of my Christmas presents thoughout the year. I have 2 daughters and 3 daughters-in-law. I thought I would make each of them sewing baskets. This one is perfect. I sewed up pretty pin cushions, made a needle holder measuring tape. I sewed the liner myself too. They turned out great. Now my problem will be not giving the gifts to them before the holiday.

This basket is just beautiful. I actually use it to store small electronics (CD-man, and so on), so it really is versatile. I love the craftsmanship and the design, particularly that of the woven lid.

I got 2 of these baskets. They are actually 12" High to top of basket. I bought them for a particular shelf unit, but found they held my collection of magazines upright just perfectly instead of laying them down flat. It was easy to find another use for them!

I think this basket is great. Holds all my knitting projects. Now I have another request. Would it be possible to design another one, but smaller? Some of you older ladies might remember back in the '60's, we had a vinyl (or plastic) tall, round knitting carryall, which had a hole in the top. It was just enough to carry one project for those "on the go" days. I have dozens of your baskets. Love, love, love them! Now that I have started knitting again, and I think it's going to stick, because everyone I know is catching the bug, please, please consider making this basket. I look forward to hearing from you. I Love This Basket!!! I use mine to store DVD's and boy does it store a load of them. The handle makes it easy to carry from room to room, and I love the lid being hinged! Longerberger never thought of that with their baskets!!! I will never go back to over priced baskets again.

My mother-in-law has a basket similar to this without a top which she bought several years ago. She uses the basket to keep her knitting in and has used it since the day she got it. My only suggestion is to REMOVE the top because as she says, "the top get's in the way" and her's is easier to use without the top

I have this basket and really do like it. It has a smooth finish and does not "snag" the yarns. It holds a lot more than you would imagine. I work from it in my little "knitting corner" and if I want things to be neat, just close the top. Highly recommend it.

Fantastic basket!!!! Just the right size and shape for my teddy bear making supplies! I like to bring my bear making supplies from my office in the daytime to the family room in the evenings. This basket is so beautiful and functional too! I love the lid because it looks so nice and neat when I close it.

I love this basket! I love that it`s nice and big. I knit a lot and I like that it can hold a lot of stuff, and it`s not too heavy. I love the liner too, for I store needles, crochet hooks, and other supplies in one pocket and projects I`ve made in the other. The rest of it is for yarn. 5 star basket and 5 star liner! -Quinlyn, 9 years old

This is the most beautiful cooler I've ever seen. It's durable and functional. It's not too big and it's not too small. It stays cool all day long. We use it to go to the pool, beach, camping or just hanging out in the backyard so we don't have to keep going in and out of the house for cold drinks. It's easy to clean. I hope to have it for years to come. Thank you Peterboro for making such beautiful and affordable baskets :D

Thanks again Peterboro for another lovely addition to my basket collection. I can always count on, if i place an order, it will be on time and nicely packaged. The basket cooler is a great size just to sit around in the home or to put inside the trunk of my car, for when I do grocery shopping or inside the car for when I pack a picnic lunch on the go or just for my bottled water for when we travel.... Way to go Peterboro :o)
